We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team for the rest of the academic year, to initially support our Year 6 children.

This role will initially run until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension depending upon funding.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning across our school. You will work closely with class teachers to:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, assisting with their academic and social development.

• Help create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.

• Prepare classroom resources and displays.

• Support children with special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities (SEND), implementing tailored interventions as required.

• Assist with the supervision of children during break times and lunchtimes.

• Contribute to the positive behaviour management within the classroom and school.

• Liaise with parents/carers and other professionals as needed (under the guidance of the class teacher).

• Undertake administrative tasks as required to support the smooth running of the classroom.

Ever wanted to teach young children but never had the opportunity?

Are you an existing Teaching Assistant that felt you always wanted to lead the class?

Battle and Langton CE Primary school are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and confident person to support our classes whilst teachers are not in the classroom.  The role will include teaching lessons that are prepared and planned by the class teacher, building relationships with our wonderful children, managing everyday classroom activities and being an absolutely essential part of our family!  

The role will be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant post, but the qualification is not a requirement for shortlisting  

The successful candidate will:
